The Road
One door at a time
In Sayqal, each door is one illness of the heart that the Quran names.
Every day, one small step. Two or three minutes.
The first door takes 7 days. Then you choose your next road.
Everyone starts here. Seven days, a few minutes each.
Long hopes, laziness, or a hard heart. You choose the one that sounds like you.
You see a hint, not the name. Each door opens when you reach it.
How a door works
- Seven days
A few minutes. One small thing to do, one question to answer.
- One question a day
This stays on your phone.
- Day 7 · The mirror
On Day 7, all your answers come back to you. This line stays next to Ghaflah on your road.
After Door 1
Three roads go on from here.
Which one is yours?
“I'll start tomorrow.” You've said it many times.
طُولُ الأَمَل
Long hopes
Tul al-Amal
Feeling there's plenty of time. Tawbah later, salah from tomorrow.
After 7 days You'll say “from tomorrow” less. What can happen today, you'll do today.
“I know what to do. It just doesn't happen.”
الكَسَل
Laziness
Al-Kasal
You know what to do. You just don't get up to do it.
After 7 days One small thing, done on time, every day. You'll see you can.
“I pray, but I don't feel anything.”
قَسْوَةُ القَلْب
A hard heart
Qaswat al-Qalb
You pray and you hear the Quran, but nothing moves inside.
After 7 days You'll notice what makes your heart soft, and what makes it hard.
The doors ahead
You see a hint, not the name. Each door opens when you reach it.
The end of the road.
At the end of the road is
Qalb-e-Saleem
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
the Day when neither wealth nor children can help, when the only one who will be saved is the one who comes before God with a heart devoted to Him.’
