الغَفْلَة
Ghaflah
Door 1 · 7 days
Ghaflah means forgetting Allah.
In Sayqal, each door is one illness of the heart that the Quran names.
What it is
You picked up your phone to check one thing.
Forty minutes later you put it down.
What was the one thing?
You stood up for salah.
You said Allahu Akbar.
The next thing you remember is the salam.
This has a name. The Quran calls it
ghaflah
ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ
Ever closer to people draws their reckoning, while they turn away, heedless.
Al-Anbiya 21:1 · Abdel HaleemNobody becomes heedless on purpose.
Your attention just slips, little by little.
Coming back works the same way. Little by little.
A heedless person doesn't know they're heedless. You just found out.
The seven days

One question a day
So far today, what were you doing when you forgot Allah?
- On my phone
- At work or studying
- Talking with people
- Lost in my own thoughts
- I remembered Allah today
This stays on your phone.
On Day 7, all your answers come back to you.
After 7 days
Ghaflah means forgetting Allah. Now you know when it happens to you the most.
This line stays next to Ghaflah on your road.

When did you last stop and ask: is this good for me?
No need to answer. Just think.
